It calculates the zenith and azimuth angle of the sun based onastronomical solar position algorithm developed by NREL. This allowsthe solar tables to track the sun throughout the daytime, thus boosting energy production. In areas wherethe cost of land is high, and on buildings and industrial rooftops, this is highly beneficial(gaining 15%to 25%more power per unit land).
